WSPI  and COTC would like to Dedicate this report to the late Kieran White who sadley died this year (2007) "I only worked with Kieran once at Wymering Manor and I found him to be a very honest and professional person to work with. He will be very sadley missed".

This time we were lucky enough to be holding a joint investigation with UKSPI, as always we were split into groups and each group concentrated on a particular part of the Manor.

 

I was in Adrian’s group with Steve and Kieran (sensitive), we were given the task of investigating the upstairs first and due to the numerous stories about room 6 this seemed a good place to start.

 

Room 6

We all got comfy and waited for Kieran to see what he could pick up, during this time lots of orbs were caught floating past cameras but after about 15 minutes the room seemed to have no spirits present. We decided to head next door to room 7.

 

Room 7

While we were in room 7 most of us felt a cold blast of air across our hands and faces even though a drafted could not be detected and Kieran kept picking up the presence of a lady that kept hiding behind Adrian, we tried to encourage her to come forward but sadly something scared her off. Minutes later Kieran saw another figure this time it was a lot bigger, it seemed to give off the feeling that it was male. Kieran looked quite nervous as he said that he had never encountered a presence like this before, Kieran kept an eye on him and followed the male presence out of the room to a door that only staff were allowed in and sadly it was locked. Kieran placed his hands on the door and managed to ascertain that the presence liked to think of himself as being an important man and that he liked to boss people about, Kieran also claimed that this man had killed 3 people in his time but he was not directly connected to the Manor. By this time 45 minutes had gone and it was time to join the other groups for a cup of tea.

After a break we then headed to room 4 on the ground floor, this room has had it’s fair share of sightings and this time was no exception.

We sat down and got comfy… after 5 minutes of random chit chat we all heard a loud bang on the wall behind us. We ran out to the corridor to find that no one was around so we headed to the next room (the kitchen) to see if there was any activity there or to see if someone was messing about but it was empty. The room directly next to room 4 is the Gents but that was off limits because the floor had just been painted so no one was in there. We headed back to room 4 and carried on chatting, after about 10 minutes Paul’s team came bursting in and we quickly sent them back out again, Kieran asked if they had left someone behind as he had seen someone poking their head around the corner from one of the bunk beds but they hadn’t. Kieran kept seeing this small figure poking out from around the corners in room 4 so we asked Paul’s team back in to see if they could help us with a little experiment. Paul’s team sat at one end of room 4, Adrian’s team sat at the other end and Stacey and Kieran sat in the middle and tried to tune-in to the presence in the room. They did manage to pick up the presence of a man, the same man that Stacey had picked up earlier in the kitchen. Not much more was picked up in room 4 so we decide it was time for another cuppa.

Not much more was picked up by our team that night, not as much as the time before but I think I did have my first sighting of a ghost!

 

As we all sat around drinking tea and coffee in the main hall, Stacey went to “powder her nose”, on her way back down the staircase from the Ladies toilets I saw a pair of legs following her. I thought it was Sandy (you know how girls like to go to the loo together) so I didn’t think much of it but when Stacey got to the bottom I noticed she was alone. I mentioned this to the rest of the group and we all started taking pictures and tried to see if we could find out what I had seen. But there seemed to be no explanation. The legs were wearing black trousers, quite tight like leggings and black shoes.

 

Apart from this sighting the night was quiet, maybe because so many investigations have gone on here in the past by other groups the spirits just don’t want to play ball anymore. Maybe they don’t want to be a freak show, If they are the spirits of people who were once alive you can understand why they would get a bit touchy.
