As always our stories have been written using the details given by our witness, the story is then checked by each witness to make sure we’ve got it right. For the purpose of this story our witness will be known as Sally
The Witnesses Story
Late one night during March 2004 Sally was woken by her daughter banging on her bedroom door, when the door was opened the girl pushed her mother back into the room and slammed the door behind them. The daughter (aged six) claimed that she had been woken during the night and saw the figure of a man on the upstairs landing, the figure was dark and had no detail but it had an outline. When the girl was asked if the figure was big or small she said that the figure was bigger than she was (the average six year old is 4ft) and she claimed it was hunched over as if it was an old man. Sally says she has had strange things happen in the house in the past, strange noises, the feeling of being watched and an unusual shape of a pair of glasses appears on the shower door that can’t be removed. Neighbours have told Sally that an old man had died in the house some years ago, this caused her to contact us. Sally also has a wind chime aka a ghost catcher and this can very often be see moving without chiming, within the last 4 weeks Sally has felt someone grab her shoulder only to find that there is no one there.
Even though we are an Paranormal Investigation group we don’t have a Psychic in our team (sadly) and a Psychic is a very important element to any investigation. We got in touch with Stacy Logan (Psychic and Co-Founder of C.O.T.C Paranormal Investigations in Worthing www.cotcpi.co.uk ) and asked if she could help us and Sally get to the bottom of this problem.

This story has been written based on the details that the witness gave.
An old friend of mine called John approached me and told me that he had seen something in his bedroom, he described being woken up at around 4:30am rather suddenly by something but he’s still not sure what. As he peered over the duvet to see exactly what time it was he noticed some one was stood at the end of the bed. The figure was standing at the foot of the bed on his wife’s side not moving and not making a sound just staring in the direction of his wife. The shape was that of a young man possibly in his early 20’s, he had his arms folded and he was wearing a tracksuit top and a baseball cap. He could quite clearly see this detail but could not see a face only the out line of the face. John was obviously worried because the figure was so real he thought that someone had broken in, he stayed still even though his heart was pounding and pretended to be asleep so he could gather his thoughts work out what to do. As john looked back he says the figure started to fade and then disappeared.
When he told his wife in the morning she thought he must have been dreaming but the description did fit the bill of one of her ex-boyfriends that had died in his early 20’s from cancer. The ex-boyfriend had cheated on her in the years they were together causing her to dump him, it was a few years after this that he became ill and pasted away, towards the end he wore a baseball cap to hide his hair loss caused by his treatment and could very often be seen in a tracksuit.
Could the ex-boyfriend have returned to say sorry for all those years of cheating? Some Psychics and Paranormal Investigators say that this dose happen or was it a "Lucid Dream" a dream in which the dreamer believes he or she is awake but isn’t.
What do you think? Was it simply too much cheese before bedtime or was it paranormal? John believes it to have been very real he says he has not seen the figure since but is keeping an eye out for him.

A Misty Figure
Sighted: July 7th 04
At: Dukes Court Chichester

(the descriptions in this account are based on the witness’s details, I was there at the time but in another part of the building- Arron)
It was at around 5 past midnight on Wednesday the 7th July 2004, I had just finished presenting the evening show at the radio station where I work. My wife (sarah) had just turned up to give me a lift home, As I was turning off the lights on the upper level Sarah was standing on the mid-section of stairs looking at some photos on the wall. Something caught Sarah’s eye and at the bottom of the stairs, as she looked she saw what she described as “a misty figure gliding from left to right” at the bottom of the stairs are two doors on the left is the racks room and on the right is the reception, she saw the figure glide NOT walk from the racks room to the reception. Sarah described the figure as “not having a face and not being able to tell whether or not it was male or female” it was just a misty figure roaming the lower levels. Being a ghost hunter I was very pleased to hear about this sighting but at the same time a little worried because I have been working there until midnight most evenings alone! Am I ready for a one on one with this spirit? I’m not sure but if it does happen I’ll let you know.

since Sarah’s sighting C.O.T.C. have been to the station and have picked up on a lady called Maggie and the presence of a dog with her, this was picked up in the area where Sarah saw the mist and Orbs have also been caught on film in this area. Stacey (c.o.t.c.) also picked up a man on the upper levels of the building, Sandy (c.o.t.c.) picked up on 4 ghost’s altogether but sadly as it was only a flying visit not much time was spent in the area and not much detail could be picked up. Only a more intense investigation will unlock the mystery of the misty figure. One thing is for certain, Sarah defiantly was not seeing things.

Date: Late September 1995
Chris was in the car park of the hotel; he’d reversed his car to drive out. As he did he saw someone in his rear view mirror standing in the gardens about 10 feet away. The hotel was empty apart from a family of Portuguese and also his Auntie and Nan. The figure Chris saw was described as “female, medium build, white blouse with dark or black hair aged late 40’s to early 50’s” because there was a hedge between the car park and garden Chris didn’t see the bottom half of the figure. “I didn’t think anything of it because I thought it was my auntie but as I was driving out I remembered seeing her 10 minutes earlier wearing a blue blouse and a blue raincoat when I realised it was to late to see who it was”. So who could Chris of seen in the gardens? Hotels are notorious for hauntings, could it of been one of the guests that had died in the hotel.

Date: Late February Early March 1996.
The event took place inside the Antigua Hotel where Chris was working at the time. At around mid-morning Chris was vacuuming the dining room, which was one of his many daily tasks. The hotel was empty as most of the guests had gone out on a day trip apart from an Asian family (this is relevant to the story) the only other people in the hotel were Chris and his Nan. As Chris was cleaning he noticed someone standing to the right rear side of him in the hallway, he saw what he described as “ a white female (he knew this from the colour of her legs) wearing black shoes, no socks or tights, a black skirt and a white jumper with what appeared to be an elasticated bottom” he never saw any higher than the bottom of the jumper so he thought it was his Nan but he then remembered that is Nan was in the flat getting ready for her hair appointment (the flat is situated in another part of the hotel). As he turned back to see who it could have been he saw the legs walk away from him, as they got to the wall they disappeared. The whole thing took less than 40 seconds.

Cathy the Cat is a big fan of "Most Haunted" (aren't we all) so she decided to go to the Schooner Hotel (MH 3)
she went with a few friends for an all night investigation...
below is Cathy's Report:
I decided I wanted to go to the hotel after seeing it on most haunted and I knew it wasn't that far from me. I had always had an interesting in ghosts and anything paranormal, and since moving to Livingston i joined the local UFO group as there is a few very famous abductions in the area and if nothing else it is a good way to make friends .... so I am not barking or anything ;-)
Anyway some girls from work wanted to come along to the hotel and there was 8 of us in total, the hotel was full and split between the people that just went to get steaming and the people that was interested in the history and ghosts.
So while my colleagues were getting blattered in the bar, myself and alison joined on with a group of people that had emf readers, walky talkies, torches and everything and did a seance in the cellar which didn't really achieve much. At one stage a stone was thrown from somewhere as you heard it hit the wall and then the floor next to where we were sat, which was a bit freeky but nothing else.
We also had a ouija board with us (I did read up a lot before taking it to the hotel) my room was on the third floor which is the most haunted and where a lady was beaten to death and her spirit is suppose to be heard moaning and moving around. my neighbours had orbs caught on camcorder from the night before and did hear someone moving but they knew they were the only ones up there. Anyway myself and one of the guys from the other group did the ouija board between us and when things had settled down we asked if there was anyone in the room that wanted to communicate and I nearly shat my pants when it went to yes at lightening speed. but after that nothing that made any sense and the planchette just kept going off the board.
About 3am Alison and myself went down to the cellar on our own and sat in the pitch black for about an hour and nothing really, we heard pipes clicking and floor boards above creacking but nothing else. I didn't even feel cold.. just before we gave up completely I did see the briefest flash of a light in the general direction that alison was sat ..... but who knows!
We returned to our room just after 4am and my heart skipped a beat when I saw the wardrobe doors were wide open (latched doors) and the planchette was off the ouija board again but i had left it on goodbye (for sure) We stayed up until 6am sat in the dark and nothing......
I have just heard about a place near loch ness and I am going to make plans to head up there and I have a further arrangement to go to the station house hotel in dudley in october!

I ran a phone –in at the radio station where I work, I asked locals to get in touch with their ghost stories and Dave Harber told about me about a ghostly bride. He also kindly emailed me with the details…..
The Bride my sister-in-law and I saw was walking from the main gate going towards the sea front, by the time that we had turned the car around she had gone. we went as far as the other entrance at the far end of the park we could see that the gate was locked.
