West Sussex Paranormal Investigations

Dinner with Richard Felix 25th March 2006

Richard kindly picked me up from Derby train station and showed me some of the town’s haunted locations that had been used during Most Haunted Live at Derby.

We then went to a restaurant/pub called “The Abby” (I had scampi, Richard had chilli) we chatted for 3 hours about the paranormal, Derby’s heritage and of course Most Haunted.

It was nice to have a conversation with Richard because it helped me to know him and see what a nice guy he really is, some people you see on the telly are nice on screen but not in person… but Richard really is genuinely nice. We talked about how much time and money he had put into Derby’s Heritage Centre and how he had to let it close in October 2005, Richard described the closure as “like loosing a son” it was sadly costing Richard to much to run on his own and Derby council were not interested in donating funds to keep it running.

It seems stupid to me that the Council was not interested in it’s own History, Richard has done so much to help put Derby on the map and bring in Tourism all without and help Derby council… WHY?

We then went to Derby Gaol, a great location well worth a visit or even ghost hunt! (go to www.richardfelix.co.uk for details) we had coffee and talked more about the paranormal Richard even wanted advice on how he can give more to his fans by arranging meetings instead of web-chats.

I know I’ve said it before but Richard Felix is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet… Guaranteed!
