Bottled 'ghosts' sold online in New Zealand

Two glass vials said to contain the ghosts of an old man and a young girl have been sold online in New Zealand for nearly 2,000 US dollars.

The sale for 2,830 New Zealand dollars (1,978 US) to a company selling electronic aids for giving up smoking was confirmed Tuesday after auction website Trademe ruled out a phantom bidder who had pushed the price up to 5,000 dollars.

Avie Woodbury, from the southern city of Christchurch, said she put the bottled spirits up for sale after an exorcist from a spiritualist church captured two ghosts in her home and put them in vials of "holy water".

The spirits -- said to be of an old man named Les Graham who died in the house during the 1920s and a powerful and disruptive "little girl" -- allegedly turned up in the house following an experiment with a Ouija board.

Woodbury said the ghosts had prevented her from eating or sleeping.

"I would get things like the jug boiling itself, touching on the back of my neck, voices from other rooms, and items going missing then turning up in weird places," she said.

"The dog was mental, he wouldn't go into certain rooms and my brother's daughter would stay with me and she said she spoke to a little girl."

"We have had no activity since they were bottled on July 15, 2009."

The auction drew plenty of scorn, including one online comment from a man who claimed he had suffered from multiple personalities because of two spirits trapped in bottles.

"I think they are called Jim Beam and the other is Johnnie Walker," he said.

Screamy Windows...

A PALE young woman appears at the window of a ruined castle - in a photo said to show a GHOST.

The spooky snap was taken at a building hailed as one of Britain's most haunted.

Gwrych Castle
Took photo ... Kevin Horkin

And the shadowy girl appears to be on the first floor, in what used to be a magnificent banquet hall.

The floor in that room crumbled away years ago, meaning there is nothing for a person to stand on.

Company boss Kevin Horkin took the photo at Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales,

but only saw the ghostly figure when he downloaded his pictures later.

Kevin, 48, said: "I did feel a presence there. It was a cold day when I visited, but it seemed warm near the building.

"There seems to be a sense of tragedy there."

Kevin, believes the figure is someone who once lived at the castle. He plans to investigate further with a ghost-hunting team.

The North Wales Paranormal Research Group says many sightings have already been recorded at Gwrych.

The castle, built in 1819, has been derelict since 1985.

Haunted Hospital, Jan 2009

From SKY NEWS:

'Surgical Spirit' Spooks Hospital

Staff at a state-of-the-art hospital have called in a chaplain after being spooked by a 'ghost' - but have denied there are any plans to carry out an exorcism.

Haunted hospital

A chaplain will visit Derby hospital next week

Workers at Derby's new Royal Hospital have reported seeing a black-clad figure in a cloak stalking wards and corridors.

The £334m hospital is built on the site of the old Derby City Hospital - the same site where a Roman road used to run.

A hospital spokesman has confirmed to Sky News that a number of hospital workers had been "spooked" by a sighting.

And she said a chaplain would be meeting staff next week to help allay their concerns.

Word of a planned exorcism spread after an email to staff was leaked to the media.

Who you gonna call?

Senior manager Debbie Butler wrote: "I'm not sure how many of you are aware that some members of staff have reported seeing a ghost.

"I'm taking it seriously as the last thing I want is staff feeling uneasy at work.

"I've spoken to the Trust's chaplain and she is going to arrange for someone from the cathedral to exorcise the department."

But a hospital spokesman said: "There is absolutely no truth in what has been reported in the media today that an exorcism has been arranged.

"We will be talking to staff in the department to listen to their concerns.

"We respect our staff and always listen to their views to help put minds at ease."

Experts said the surgical spirit could be the ghost of a Roman soldier killed on the spot where the hospital was first built in the 1920s.

Developers apparently ignored local protests about the construction and covered over part of a Roman route.

Stolen Reports!!!

While looking through a bookshop in Worthing I came across "Sussex Haunted Heritage" by Debra Munn, I was shocked to find that she had RIPPED OFF one of WSPI's reports. Debra Munn had ripped off the Halloween report from Michelham Priory aka Michelham Priory 2. i have been in touch with the publishers twice and not got a reply. Everything on this site is copyright but is free to use if we are told before hand, Debra Munn did not ask for permission from WSPI or COTC and didn't even give Arron Weedall (report writer) any acknowledgment. Tried & Tested

WSPI decided to test some of the new ghost equipment hitting the scene to see just how good it was and so that you could get the benefit of us test driving it for you. First thing we tested was The GhostRadar, this item claims it can test for EMF, Temperature, Light as well as your body’s reaction to the situation… fantastic sounds great we thought and we were right it DID sound great but sadly it wasn’t.

YES it did test for EMF’s, YES it did seem to change when it got dark and YES it did slightly change when we increased the temperature however… it has no dial or numbers! How can you tell what a reading is if all you have to go on is a panel of lights. What MG is your EMF reading? What “C” or “F” is the temperature? how do you measure the lighting? And how do you interpret the reading given off by your body in “bio-feedback mode”? how can you write a report based on your readings? Simple you can’t.

All in all it sadly has no use as a serious Ghost Hunting tool but it does make a cool toy for the kids. as an optional extra it can have a USB storage device added upto 2GB

Overall rating: 5/10 (because it looks good)

Price: from £21.99 - £72.99

Goto: GhostRadar to get your hands on one

New Toys 25.9.06

WSPI has just invested in a Motion sensor camera, this little baby will take a digital picture of anything that triggers the sensor. It take's an SD memory card up to 512mb (8mb built in) or can hook straight to you PC or Laptop via built in USB. WSPI and COTC are the FIRST and ONLY paranormal group in the UK to use this type of camera for it's investigations. but i'm sure others will follow.

This camera is normally used for Hunting bears or deer in the states so why not use it to hunt GHOSTS? the motion sensor is very sensative and will capture the slightest movement. they are only available in the USA or Canada so be prepared to pay for alot of postage.

Is Most Haunted Faked?

Arron will soon let you know how it all went.

You can find Richards website on the links page.

February 06

This month I want to point out that everybody has an opinion and they are entitled to it....

Somebody calling them selves "KK" on the Guest book writes...

"To be honest most of the stuff on this site was less than convincing.
Orbs, I do not believe are anything but tricks of the light and stuff like that.
I have taken photos of 'orbs' myself but that doesn't make them any realer.

Most ghost sightings are probably due to the power of suggestion. People who go on ghost hunts are more likely to 'see a ghost' or something 'paranormal' because they are determined to do so and therefore their mind alters what they see.
I'm not saying ghosts don't exist, by the way."

That’s Fine by us we want people to have an open mind that's why we want people to email us with their views, Thank you for your message "KK"

Double Page SHOCKER!!!

WSPI and COTC are featured in this months (june) copy of The Paranormal News, the nice people at TPN have kindly run a double page spread on our second visit to Michelham Priory. This just goes to show that WSPI are not just some fly-by-night group and that we take Paranormal Investigating very seriously indeed.

Who's knows maybe we may feature again.
